Website Knowledge Sync

Give the AI permission to read your store — so it answers customers with real facts from your own pages, policies, products and blog.

What it does

The Website Knowledge Sync fetches the store content you approve, crawls and analyzes every page with AI, stores the full page texts in the app's database and automatically generates knowledge base entries from them. From then on, the AI can look up your shipping rules, sizing tables, care instructions, FAQs and product details instantly — without re-crawling and without hallucinating.

Step 1 — Choose your sources

Right after choosing a plan, the onboarding shows the “Export store knowledge” step (you can change everything later under Settings → Knowledge). Six sources are selectable, all enabled by default:

Untick anything the AI should not read. Deselecting a source later removes its stored pages and the knowledge entries generated from them on the next sync.

Step 2 — Pick a schedule

Choose how often pages are re-analyzed: once, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. Syncs are incremental: unchanged pages are skipped, changed pages are re-analyzed, deleted pages are cleaned up and new pages are added automatically. Weekly is a good default for most stores.

Step 3 — Password-protected shops

If your online store is not public yet (password protection enabled), the app detects this and asks for your storefront password. You find it in Shopify under Online Store → Preferences → Password protection. The password is validated immediately, stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and used only to read your pages during syncs. Once your shop goes public you can simply leave the field empty.

Monitoring syncs

The “Knowledge syncs” page (linked in the app navigation) lists all running and past syncs:

How the AI uses the synced content

Crawled texts are stored in a fast, searchable form. When a customer email arrives, the AI automatically pulls the most relevant excerpts into its context — and its agent tools can search the full store content or fetch a public page live when needed. Generated knowledge entries appear in the Knowledge section, where you can review, edit or deactivate each one (auto-activation is configurable in the AI settings).
